Title: WISE-CAM (Wireless Controlled Surveillance Camera)

Abstract:
The project is about computer controlled wireless surveillance camera, or commercially named as WISE CAM. The system consists of three major parts. First part is the transceiver. This part consists of the CPU and the transceiver. Both interact with each other in order to transmit or receive data. The second part is made-up of the microcontroller unit (mcu), servo motors and sensor. The servo motors will move the camera to either rotate or tilt. Final part is the camera system. The camera shall be controlled using the two servo motors. The camera will also be able to feed live video to the computer. Standard personal computer (PC) can be used for this project. For transceiver, we use the nRF2401. Meanwhile for the microcontroller unit, we intend to choose PIC18F2550. We might use C as the compiler. This project starts last semester which is in June 2006 and hopefully will end by this April 2007.
